Acclaimed young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was made after an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
